Show up early, walk the course enough times until you can do the entire thing in your head, and relax.

Try to run over the slalom cones with your BACK tires.

Remember that the smoothest line is usually the fast one. Also, late apex everything. Everything.

Most importantly- have fun.

Only good suggestion I have is have fun.......

BUT in a few years try this.......after several years of going to as many autocrosses as you can, and improving you and the car.....

...........then go somewhere where no one knows you.....out of state trip, whatever..........

tell everyone you have never autox'ed before and go kick some a$$. That will certainly play with a few heads.

PS---I would love to do this, but alas I can't as my avatar of me "on the toilet on sccaforums.com, clearly shows my face-----most people when I say hello to them say---"Oh, I know you----dude you are a nut"

Don't DNF. Have fun and don't worry about the times of others. The thing that helped me the most is walk the coarse with someone that owns the same gen. vette as yours. Also work the hardest part of the course first before you run.

You post this at 11 PM the night before? Just have fun and read the sticky at the top of this forum. That should keep you awake all night!

Have fun, and when they say "GO", you don't have to go. The clock doesn't start until you trip the light beam. Take a deep breath, relax and have fun.

I try to do what Dave suggests but my car gives me away...too many stickers.

I would advise you to not walk the coarse, but walking the course would be more beneficial
