Default C5 Spring rates and antisway bar sizes - 97-04

I am looking for a brakedown of OE spring rates/bar sizes on C5s from 1997-2004 for base models, Z51 and ZO6. I know they varied over the production run.

Any reference/info greatly appreciated.

Thanks

C5 SWAY BAR COMPARISON
Bars Front Dia. Rear Dia. Thickness

Base / FE1 23 mm 19.1 mm

Z51 / FE3 - '97-'99 25.4 mm 21.7 mm

Z51 / FE3 - '00-'04 28.6 mm 23.6 mm
note rear same as Z06 rear, and both updated from earlier Z51 bars.

Z06 / FE4 30.0 mm 23.6 mm
Fantastic for good street driving, and good for autocrossing.

ADDCO/BMR 31? mm 21? mm

Hotchkis 31.75 mm 25.4 mm

Don't know the spring rates. Sorry.

Here are some accumulated data from over the years for model years 00to 2004:

Bars in mm
Suspension type Front thickness-- Rear thickness

Base 23.1 3.81 19.1 2.0

FE-3 28.6 4.15 23.6 3.0

FE-4 (Z06) 30.0 4.5 23.6 3.5

T-1 38.4 6.35 27.5 6.35

Spring rates have been reported all over the map, but this is what I have:

Base 440 577

FE-3 525 634

FE-4 (Z06) 525 714

T-1 approx 700 900

These are the rates of the springs, NOT the effective rate at the wheel. Some people have exhibited doubt that the rear Vette springs are higher rates than the front springs, but this is the way it is because of the geometery of the suspension design.

I hope this is helpful

Jim

This is all really useful - data does seem to be all over the map...

looking for some takeoff base model sways and springs...

I "heard" but have not seen a car with it yet, or any production proof, that the base late 2003 and 2004 came with the same size bars as 97-99 Z51.

I have some take-off Z06 pieces, but you're looking for base model stuff?

The front will, the rear won't. C6 rear springs mount like C5/C6 fronts...
