Default C5 & 6 HD Front Hub Prototypes are in

Just got the new prototypes in today of the front hubs.

The C4, 5 & 6 Bearing re-design is a result of Van Steel's 30 yrs of innovativeness and "outside the box" thinking to solve and improve the Corvette hub bearing assemblies. First by understanding the cause for pre-mature failure, Van Steel's vision finds the solution, again as we did with the C2 & 3 bearings.

Some bullets on these bearings that we engineered

- American Made
- ISO 9001 & TS 16949 Manufacturing Standards
- Tapered roller bearings and race design replaces the OE design of roller ball bearing with machined race in the hub
- Tapered bearing improves side load distribution and with a Nitrate Hardened Race greatly reducing wear

Prototypes are being sent out for real time track data this week. Price to be announced.

We do realize that the studs are different and they will be changed for production.

Here are some pics.... HD's are on the right side

#1. Thank you
#2. Will these be available with lengthened studs pre-pressed into them?
#3. Are these rebuildable?

I'm eagerly awaiting the price and availability.

pretty much any lengthened stud, GM or ARP, doesnt really make a huge difference.

They sure look great on the outside. How about a shot or two of them disassembled to see the bearings and the races?

Having gone through a set of fronts last year - I am interested. ARP or other hardened lengthened studs from the get-go would be really nice. How about a price idea - or at least a close range please.

3500 lb car going 100+ thru the corners with ultra sticky tires and a beefed-up suspenion...trying to put 400+ ponies down...

Do the math.

use them in the rear less load I would imagine.

Is they hub mounting plate the exact same dimension?
