Default C4 CAI and brake cooler ducts installed (pics)

Some of you might find this interesting.

I didn't have much time to work on it this weekend, but I did remove the front bumper and installed the brake cooling ducts and cold air induction scoop. I did some major trimming on the bumper support (last pic), and removed the styrofoam insert. All front lights are now gone.

Pics:

LH outer duct: LH brake rotor
LH inner duct: Engine oil cooler
RH outer duct: RH brake rotor
RH inner duct: Power steering cooler
Center duct will supply the air filter with cold outside air (cold air induction)

Here are some old pics of the P/S cooler system, engine oil cooler will be the same, but on the other side:

Nice . I know where your primary duct will go, but where is the second duct going to go. Pics?

Looks nice. Where did you buy the intake scoops, especially the one behind the license plate cover. They seem larger than the ones I have seen for sale.
Thanks,
Ed

Thanks,

The center one was a twin 3" scoop similar to the ones on the ends. I cut the back of it off. If I could find a twin 4", I would use it as a ram air and run two 4" hoses to the filter housing. I didn't think two 3" would be enough.

I bought all the ducts and hoses from racer parts wholesale.

VERY

I want to do both those same things but haven't finished my suspension yet. Thanks for posting and giving me a boot in the a** because after seeing this I really want to get going on it.

I used two of these (one on each side):

And one of these in the middle:

Get a good heat gun. On the side ducts, I had to heat and bend them. The bottom is bent in 90*, both sides are bent in 45*, and the top is just trimmed. Here is a pic of it bent into shape, this is very easy to do with a heat gun:

One more tip... VERY IMPORTANT. If you use the twin scoops on each side like I did, install the hose on the inner holes before you put the bumper cover back on the bumper support. Rivet the hose to the ducts!

If you don't need the twin ducts on each side like I used, you could use two of these, but position the hole so it's closer to the side marker rather than the license plate:
