Tires: How wide can I go on stock Z06 wheels?
I am getting new Auto-X tires (Kuhmo 710's). What can I cram onto a stock Z06 wheel? Here are my options....
FRONT:
275/40ZR17 <-- Easy Fit
295/40ZR17 <-- I would think these can be wedged on there
315/35ZR17 <-- I would be really surprised
REAR:
305/30ZR18 <-- Easy Fit
315/35ZR18 <-- I would think these can be wedged on there
345/35ZR18 <-- I would be really surprised
Anyone know for sure?

I have seen a 315 on a nine rim but it doesn't mean it will work properly. When you wedge/pinch it you bow the tire surface so it makes poor contact with the road surface. Look on tirerack.com for rims and sizes under specs for your brand. I think 10 mm over isn't bad from what they recommend and usually works.

If you're going to run Kumho's then go 275/17s and 315/18s.
If you want to be faster then run Hoosier 295/17s and 315/18s.
Hoosier's 295 fronts are lower profile than the 295 Kumho's which tend to be too tall for good turn-in.
I see you're in Ca. There are some vette drivers out there who are really fast on Kumho's but they are under contract to run the Kumho's. They'd be even faster if they ran Hoosiers. FWIW
Good luck.

I have had no problems with the 295/40 V710 on a 9.5" wheel. It seems to fit fine. I happen to have one of these at home, if you have someone to mount it for you, you can test fit it.

FWIW I'm going to have a pair of 315/35-18 710s with some meat left on 'em (but not a ton) for sale very cheap by tomorrow. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,

with what you said. In addition, the 275 front and 315 rear would probably give you stock height (wheel to ground), thereby keeping your stock caster geometries too.
Are you getting prepared for April 12th, or some other earlier auto-x?

April 12th will be the beginning of a glorious season (I hope)
