Looks like it still has some dirt on it from the battle in Sebring... Glad y'all could make it, though I wasn't happy to see y'all all packed up when I came by your pits in the early evening. It was a good showing for a car that was only completed a week earlier. GL on the rest of the season, Ill definitely be pulling for ya!

we had planned to run at 1225kg which is 2695 lbs but we were over that by more than 100 pounds. So we ran the next larger restrictor size per the rules.

But we need to reduce the weight and run at the lower allowed weight to get maximum performance.

In addition, the car was still slightly over the higher weight so the diet is essential.

Carbon wheel wells, carbon cooler boxes, inner fenders etc, All were made out of aluminum because of the time crunch.

Thanks

LG

Lou,

I thought the car looked good a Sebring ... boy that Risi Ferrari was fast though! ... he was keeping up with the GT1 Aston Martin!

We had hoped that you would stop by the Corvette Corral ... but it seemed like they just wanted to focus on the GT1 cars ... I think that all Corvette Teams should be welcome.

I wanted to buy one of the GT2 hats when I was down there ... but every time I was by your paddock everyone was busy working on the car ... didn't seem like there was anyone there handling PR!

Good luck on your next races ... hopefully I'll be able to make Mid-Ohio again this year ... of course I'll be at Mosport!

For some unknown reason, GM and Chevy have really ignored us.

It has me baffled. You would think we were the enemy.

I hate hearing that. GM and Chevy should be all over you trying to help out.

Congratulations on the first race. I know you had some overheating issues, but it wasn't a bad showing considering Sebring has to be about the toughest track on any car. Factor in a car that's less than a week old, and you have to figure you're going to find some problems!

It's because the LGM car is better looking

BTW, LGM did receive some props at the Last Turn website:

I guess they are happy looking good all by themselves by #3 racing #4 or one private sponsored Aston Martin with with par-timers driving it.

After all you you did play their Ron game and lift for them. Why would you expect any help? They are just plain stupid. You will sell headers but they will sell cars on your wins where they presently have nobody.

They make the dumbest moves so many times in many areas. Free team no expense other than sharing knowledge or a wind-tunnel they have already paid for equals zero cost to them.

It would look bad if the public perceives a GM $60,000 vehicle beating a $250,000 Ferrari. Even though the cost for both are really higher way higher it look good. You may be cutting into their hat sales

I never understood why the didn't sell C5R's to private teams with support and make a few bucks and add to the GM fleet on track. Chrysler's Viper has way better support over the years and they probably makes money at it.

Lou, speak with a slight accent, tell them you're either English or Canadian from Mosport area. Say "ehh" a lot, only drink Molsons, ask where the best place is for fish and chips. Maybe that will work.

Is that AeroDyn's facility? That car looks really stuffed in there. I imagine there will be a lot of data conditioning to get accurate numbers. If it's AeroDyn I'm sure they know what they are doing.

One thought Lou, those NACA ducts for your engine intakes are probably not doing what they are supposed to (little or no drag). I think you will get better efficiency with a smooth blended port rather than a NACA duct in that location. Granted, only testing will tell.

Lou,

It’s good to see your efforts to race down and catch the Ferrari and Porsche GT2 juggernaut. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Corvette Forum. I read the article below on Speedtv.com last week ahead of the 12hr race and it looks like your car had some pretty good top speed, based on what the writer was seeing with his radar gun at various places around Sebring. How do you feel your car compares to the competition in braking and cornering speeds ?

Brian

speaking of which, you looked like you were in great shape. I didn't want to mention that in the restroom but I was wondering if you had been physically training for the race.
