Spring Mountain Alumnie
I and my son attended Spring Mountain Level I last summer and am considering level II or possibly trying the competition
I enjoyed the course, very very well done and learned a lot in hadleing my new Corvette even though I have been tracking other cars for some years.
Only thing that was a bit of a pain were the accomodations in Pharump. Staying in Vegas is a bit of a hike, speciallly in summer (when we went) and the school started before 6AM due to the heat of the day. Too early in the morning for a long drive.
Let's hear from Level I and Level II Spring Mountain students. How was Level II?

Level II was fun. Short talk & review of the basics followed by what seemed to be increased track time. Those guys are good at staying in front of you with one hand on the wheel and an eye in the mirror. They also observe from a distance.
The people are great and I feel like I learned something. Not quite as good as having an instructor in the right seat but its a good experience if the $'s don't bother you.

I had a great time at Level two. We had five guys, three instructors , and our choose of seven corvettes. We had as much driving time as we could handle.
I agree on the accommodations.

Level II is a large step up from the starter course. For those that want
to just do DE's it is a step that will make you better at learning new
tracks and being able to get up to speed faster. For those that want
to try time trials or racing it gives you lots of technique that will cut
your lap times beyond the level I class. Very worthwhile.
Oh, Pahrump is at least cost effective, if unlovely!
