Default Stoptechs with Carbotechs?

For those with Stoptechs, is anyone running Carbotech pads? Any problems or issues with them?

I'm also considering Cobalt pads and Raybestos ST-43 (same as Wilwood "H" compound) pads. Can anyone offer a comparison with Carbotech?

Don't talk to me about PFC pads, they're too expensive!

I run Stoptechs with Pagid "Blue" on the street, and Hawk pads on track.
Personally, I'm waiting for someone to try Lou Gigliotti's Cobalt pads in "real world" conditions and report on them for us here on the forum.

I was hesitant to write because I just changed to StopTech's at the end of last year (ST60 fronts, ST40's rear) and I am inexperienced at open tracking, only about half a dozen days.

I've run one event with my new setup and had XP10's on the front and XP8's on the rear. I run street tires. Other than telling you that the pads fit into the calipers and required much less pedal effort than the C5Z06 calipers with stock pads, I can't tell you much. I haven't even done a post event inspection to check wear. She was parked right after the event for the winter.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.....

Anybody else using Carbotechs with StopTech brakes? They're much less expensive than other pads!

Haven't used them with my new stoptechs but used to use them on stock C6Z/C5Z brakes and they work well.

You might want to give the guys at Carbotech a call as they might be able to give you references of other people that run them with StopTech's.

I've been very happy with the Carbo's in my stock calipers. I can't imagine why they wounldn't be that much better in a stoptech setup.

Since when? Carbo's have always been the high dollar pads as far as I've seen.

I run the carbotechs in my ST40/C5 setup and they work great. Switched from PFC and didn't notice any performance loss at all.

What pads are you running on the track and on the street? Where are you buying them from?

My car is a track car only so no street use. I haven't purchased in a while but i bought them directly from Carbotech. I ran the XP10 Fr and XP 9 rear i believe. It's been a while so things might have changed.
