Default Road Race Forum

I know it's pretty dead but I'm just gonna put this out there...

http://www.roadraceforum.com/forums/index.php

I know we have this forum here and all specifically for vettes but I could see that forum taking off for a broad array of vehicles... anyone interested to spread some word? LGmotorsports is already a sponsor... that's a start already

I tried to turn another forum (highspeeddriving) into the kind of site that you're referring to. We included every kind of car and covered all forms or tracking or racing. We offered free advertising to vendors at first (never got around to charging them). We even hosted track videos for members (before youtube). We just couldn't get the site off the ground.

Pretty cool. Hopefully it'll catch on. They do have the best smileys by far.

Well, I registered and gave RRCOX22 credit for referring me ... so blame him!
I'll see if I have any meager contributions (this is the only CF forum I visit on a regular basis ... so don't expect much!)
Adam Boca tried to get a HPDE forum going a couple years ago ... that floundered (with my help!)
An OpenTrack forum also experienced the same fate.
Trackpedia is out there ...

All that said ... I'll do what I can

Default I'm In

I actually love a place that's not "breed" specific. It could be fun. Thanks for pointing it out.

Corner carvers is VERY mustang specific. It originated from a few guys who got sick of the Corral. Im good friends with one of the main guys there. They are extreemly strict about the way they run the place, and run off quite a few "less experienced" people.

There was really no place to talk about road racing in general. American, europe, openwheel, sports cars, your own track car or race car, and no place that had good support.

Thats what I was after, and I thank each and every one of you for signing up and giving your thoughts. I hoped that my experience in road racing and youth would help guide more people towards our sport I hope Im right. From the local Kart track to The daytona 24, to the sebring 12, and hopefully the LM 24, my life revolves around this stuff.

I just went there and it seems shockingly like the old High Speed Driving site with only 2 guests and 2 members on a Saturday night.
