$289 w/ free shipping is a great price for that seat with cover. I'm probably going to order one for my C5 as well. Now I need to know how to mount it in the car.

Do you guys think this seat is better than the one above. Not a lot of difference other than the hump under your thighs that I see. Only $10.00 more at SPS Solotime. They are local for me so I am going over and test sit it and a Corbeau.

I have the Pro Road Race as the passenger seat and the Deluxe Pro Road Race for my drivers set.
Difference ? not much. I have to put additional padding under my knees ( under the seat bottom cushion.

I hope to have them in by the NCM event at Road America provided I can click fast enough to register for it. You think the Hard Bar mount is the best? Do you really need the brace for the seat back? Do you have a close up of how yours mount to the actual seat back?

The back brace is so strong, that when I grab my seat and shake it side to side, the whole car shakes.
Give me a day and I will get a close up pic

Let me know when you are heading to Solo Perfomance, I work in Fenton and have been wanting to stop by there and check out some seats for my C4. maybe we can meet there.

One thing to consider is the amount of layback you want. I went with the Ultrashield and a 20 degree layback. I wish I would have gone with a 10 degree layback. The seat has to be mounted so you can get in and out of the car past the steering wheel, for me that means sitting on the side of the seat with one side against the seat bolster and the other against the steering wheel. Then I pick up my legs and pivot into the seat. Once into the seat this leaves me with a bit more reach than I would like. Somebody suggested that I probably should cut down the side of the seat so I can raise it and rotate it forward just enough to make myself comfortable when driving.

BTW, the Hardbar seat rails will work with any side mount seat that fits in the car. They are fully adjustable (in a bolt-in way) and as compared to any slider they will give you 3-6 inches of headroom. We can even fit a big biy Sparco Evo3!
