Default [PICS] C5 Z06 road race car. Cage, 427 rebuild, fire supression

We just wrapped up this project. The cage turned out very well so I thought I would share some pics here.

Objectives:
1. Rebuild existing 427
2. Change pistons to accept LS7 heads
3. Install LS7 heads and Katech Torquer LS7 camshaft
4. Build roll cage to customer specifications
5. Install fire supression system

Results:
600hp, 569tq
Nice cage that is easy to enter/exit
Maintains power windows

WOW! Awesome cage work!!

Great job, but I would expect nothing less than perfection?

Will this car be making it to Track Attack??

Your head could hit the bars in an accident. You could say that about any cage. I test drove it with a helmet on.

That is the finest TIG welding for a gage I have seen ever.

I don't really know what you mean by type of welds. It is TIG welded chrome-moly steel

If you would like a cage we can discuss what you need and I'll make a custom quote for you.

This is the cam we use in all of our Street Attack LS7s.

Beautiful cage! I don't think I've EVER described cage work as beautiful, but it appears to be quality workmanship from the photos. Please send me a quote for both roll cage and fire suppression system installed in a 2004 C5 Coupe. Mike

Would you be able to street the car with that type of cage or would it be hazardous without a helmet? Also, will Ultrashield seats fit inside the door rails?

Thanks!

Impressive work!

It is potentially hazardous without a helmet. There is padding on the roll cage but thats not usually enough.

Most aftermarket seats should fit in.
