102" width is max allowable by law on any highway.
Most are 96".
I went with the 102 wide, and sometimes I wish I went with the 96".

I would build the gate wider than the trailer just to have some clearance on both sides.

Go with a 12' wide gate and use two panels. 12 foot is easy to build and saves doing a bunch of cutting for odd-width doors.

I had two 5' panels for a 10' gate. If you're going to get a 102" trailer, 120" is enough but not comfortable. Now I have two 8' gates for a 16' opening.

Steve, almost all car trailers are 102" wide to allow for the car to fit between the fenders. And 102 is the max for Hwy use with out a permit. I suggest at least and 10' or 12' gate. JD

Y'all are making me dread getting a trailer again. I have 11-12ft between my house and the fence down about 80-100ft of driveway to where I could/would/should park the trailer...

My enclosed trailer is 96 inches and my C6Z with 345's fits fine. It has about 3 inches on each side inside the trailer fenders. This is plenty wide enough thank you, and I have to back it up about 100 yards up my driveway with a couple of esses in it.

10' is OK if you don't have the room for bigger. When backing in you can stay tight on one side you can see.
