Thinking of getting Toyo R888 need advice
I am looking into getting Toyo Proxes R888 tires for my track rims.
07 z51 6 mn coupe
245/40ZR 18 front
295/30ZR 19 rear
I understand that the rear tires are a little smaller in diameter,
any problems with this set up?
I need tires I can use on highway to get to track.
Anyone out there using these tires any feedback and advice appreciated.
Thanks.

I had that exact set up on my C6 and no problems at all. Here is a pic of what they looked like on the car. Notice the gap in the wheel wells because of the smaller tires. This was after I had lowered the car on stock bolts...obviously i didn't get much out of them!
The handling on the track is worlds of difference from OEM. Be sure to use the TPMS sensors. My car would not go into Comp mode when it didn't see the sensors.

Ahhh Newark, I know it well. We are actually buying a high rise office building in downtown Newark as we speak.
I actually sold my C6 earlier in the year. Here is my new ride:

I put the 255/35/18s on the front and the 295/30/19s on the rear to keep the same diameter difference as the stock sizes. The 245/40/18s are almost as tall as the 295/30/19s. Will that cause a problem with active handling? Who knows?
Even with these sizes, the front and rear are about 1" shorter than the stock sizes.
I've run these in two long (1.8mile) autocross events. One wet and one dry. Still haven't got them up to 200-deg F but they started sticking real nice when they hit 150-deg F. Work pretty good in the wet. I have to drive 40+ miles to the event and these semi-slicks are perfect for that.

The shorter diameter of the 295/30/19 compared to the 285/35/19 stock tire does make the speedo read a little higher than your actual speed. But not by much.
