Default Having Road Atlanta Withdrawl Symptoms

I always looked forward to running Panoz Open Track at Road Atlanta. Since they sold the business to Skip Barber, it sucks that they may not do that any more! Any other ideas for open events at road racing tracks around the South?

Here's one option:

NASA Southeast

Here's CoCo's list of all the events on the east coast:

Chin may let you run without a roll bar in your convertible - they have Road Atlanta days now.

Panoz required a roll bar, so I am good to go.

And if you want to get in before it's sold out, you better hurry and sign up. That thing fills up quicker than an Air Force officer at the chow hall.

Also, check the BMW club's rules, If I remember correctly some of them do not let convertibles run at all - roll bar or not.

Wow...that stinks. So BMW clubs eliminate their own sports cars...Z3, Z4, & Z8?

Even though I'm just 18 miles away, I'm not sure I'm going to do the August event with NASA. It's just too popular a track and sessions were down to (3) 20-25 minute runs a day. Who knows, I'm sure I'll change my mind once track jitters kick in from in-activity...

Skip Barber would rather do $1000 per person events instead of $300. I get their friggin e-mails all the time. A ONE DAY beginners driving school is $999. I guess there's a niche for that.
