VIDEO: VIR Race 5/10/08 w/LS6 Blowup at the end
60 cars started the race, I qualified somewhere around 23rd. Last lap I completed (lap 5) was fastest at 2:08.6, but was getting faster every lap until then.
Here is the link.
Most expensive 2nd place trophy I ever got.

I don't see a video link? What site is it on?
I don't follow TV coverage much but I really enjoy peoples in car video.
Edit, if you just uploaded it some sites can take a day to approve it for viewing.

Mikah, do you have an Accusump in the car?
When mine let go at VIR last year, the ring land on #7 piston broke and the engine was smoking like crazy on deceleration. It was still running, but only on less than 8 cylinders.
The crate motor remedy is the way to go. Install it and you're good to go within a week or so.

Stupid Google video is still not working - who knows when the video will really be available.

All right - video is finally up. I've tried other hosting services, but due to the large file size of these vids (100-200MB), the Google uploader works much better than trying to use a web-based uploader.
Anyway, vid is up - hope y'all enjoy!!
Here are the places I know I'm losing time:
- Turn 14, braking way too early
- Hogs Pen, need to avoid curb on right, throttle-on sooner and track out further left
- Turn 3, throttle-on sooner
- Oak Tree, can pick up a bit more time on entry, and need to avoid oversteer on exit
Feedback welcome, as always!

I didnt really know what to expect, but it sounded kind of uneventful like the motor just shut off. I blew up a motor on my racing kart once and it sounded like somebody chopped the thing in half with a chainsaw...

First I'm no racer; haven't even graduated to R tires yet; I've only done a few HPDE's in a stock C6Z at VIR.
1. Hog Pen is definitely faster if you stay left and on the gas a disturbing amount even BEFORE the compression and then maybe flat out if it hooks good mid turn.
2. It's hard to tell when and how hard you're breaking in the video; but, it seems there's some slack between T2 and T3.
3. Also, It looks like you can track out more after T10. It's blind but, there's a lot more road there than it seems.
I'm sure I'll learn more from your and others responses than you'll get from mine.
Nice driving! Thanks for the vid and better luck with the crate motor.

Hey Mikah,
Not bad for never running VIR. Falcon is correct on the accu sumo due to having the same issues compiled with a horrible tune. BTW will FEX EX your Wally World oil pan that you let the VIPER team use, LOL!! Thanks again !!!
