Default Stop Tech Low Dust For Hpde 1

I picked up a pair of stop tech low dust, low noise METALLIC brake pads, I was told by the person who sold them to me that they would be fine to use at a HPDE 1 event. I just read a post on the forum that stated they chuck and break apart. The pads will be used at Pocono north HPDE 1 with stock rotors. Any in put would be a help, thanks in advance

I'd also like to hear what the experience has been.

I have no real answer either way but i'd guess they are probably fine for hpde 1. You'll come nowhere near the limits of your brakes in a novice run group, however once you become one of these really fast guys you'd certainly want to reconsider.

Some new street pads come apart (or chunk) if they haven't been seasoned a little before the event. Run them on the street and do some aggressive stops to get some heat into them. They may not stop you as well as some other pads but shouldn't chunk apart if properly bedded.

If that his personal limit then he shouldn't have a problem since he won't have to touch the brakes until he pulls into the garage.
