Default stoptech aero rotors and other z06 brake questions

I think i am going to just keep the stock brake calipers for now this summer to get more feel for the, car

I am going to buy some hawk htc 70 or 60's for track/autocross.

i am thinking about upgrading the rotors though. any idea on if the stoptech aero rotors are 800 for all 4 rotors or just 2?

any other suggestions on rotors? I have found the dba's for front and rear for about 500 for all 4.

stock c6 z06 sizes.

yes i am looking at either the 2 piece aero rotors or maybe just the dba slotted 1 pieces.

racing brake has some nice ones too i see but are the 2 piece worth 1600 or so just for the 2 piece set?

With stock calipers, I would have a very hard time justifying that much $ on rotors. They will probably last a little longer, but you could buy 6-7 sets of stock rotors for that much. That would last me a year and a half. for $1600 you could almost buy the Wilwood front kit from LG. Do cooling ducts, race pads and high temp fluid for now. Save the $ till you are going to do a complete BBK, I think that you would be better off.

Stoptech only has fronts available in OEM sizes I believe. However, the fronts do 70% of the work, so it is still a nice upgrade.

I sell Stoptech and RacingBrake parts, and in general have been happier with Stoptech's rotors. I currently have RB rotors on my Z06, and they have not held up as well as I would have liked.

***btw, I'm assuming this is for a C6Z06. If so, the OEM calipers will serve you quite well. If you are talking C5Z06, then that's another story.

The Hawk DTC 70/60 combo has worked well for me on track. Don't waste your money on 2-piece rotors. The DBA one piece rotors are a good alternative to the OE. Unless you are doing a lot more with the car than casual autocross and DE events, a BBK is not worth the money. I'm not a big fan of the PBR caliper design, but they work great, with the correct pad.

If you have not upgraded calipers, stick with stock rotors and just change frequently (and cheaply). Big delta between cost of stock rotors and the ones that fit stoptechs. Drive the stock ones like you stole them!
