Default Summit Shenandoah FATT May 23 - anyone else going?

Post up if you're going.
Also ... is there a decent track map of the course as run by BSR FATT events, with numbered turns, anywhere? (I know what Trackpedia has)

I ran the short loop from the pit road thru the carousel last year so I have that figured out. For some odd reason the Wash DC Morgan Club decided not to run their cars around the Carousel and sub-let that end to some Corvette fools ...
TIA ...

a few of us were there this weekend, and I'm sure we could post a video for you when we get that up. As for turn numbers, I've only seen them once, most of the time they are addressed by name.

OK; thanks ...
I've looked at some videos but none by a Corvette.

The turn-by-turn guide on Trackpedia calls the 180 turn at the end of the back straight # 17 "training loop" ... What I'm mainly interested in is from that point around and back up the front straight to under the bridge (called turn # 9). Just trying to get a complete mental picture of how the track flows before I show up.
I scheduled to run solo, but I'm going to either hook an instructor ride or get an instructor with me on my first session or both.

That reminds me - I never got you that picture of one of those 'Corvette fools' in particular going through the bowl - just to clarify, that would be YOU!

You coming down Juatch at one ol 11 for the NVCC day on Summit Main?
I probably won't do the AX - haven't been doing many, trying to pick up more track time. Missed you at Pocono, we had great weather again this year. I'm looking at a couple Summit events, need to balance the checkbook and do some family deconflicts also. I'll catch you at one or another. Be safe - Have fun!

Mike ... DC area SCCA just announced a PDX for Summit Jun 15th ... $200.00 so that' a possibility for you.

Denny,

Looks like you'll get good weather, which really helps! Good luck! Should be a great time! Will you get an instructor for a session or do all solo?

Interested in June 15--didn't see that on Summit's website. Think they will let me sign up solo?

That M3 weighs nothing, and was on advan AD07's. The vette was on Sumitomo HTR's (their summer performance tire), AKA bad tires. I think the vette would have been a little faster though the corners if it had some better rubber on it.

Thanks Denny I may check that out - they're not running any novice group that day, I've never run with them, so I'm not sure what they'll want to do. I only ran the main track one day.

Mike ... they're not running beginners ... are running novice.
I think you have enough track days to qualify as a Novice.
Sent you a PM.

Just to close the discussion ... Friday at Shenandoah was a great day for all!
Everything ran on time; had no red flags or black flags thrown on any group to my knowledge. I don't think they even showed the yellow except maybe twice on some minor offs ... and AFAIK, everyone drove out or got'em on the trailers whole ... so that's a safe, productive, good day!
Chief Instructor decided I should be revalidated for solo, given that I had not done the full track before ... so we got thru that OK too, and I'm good to go.
Momentum and technical track ... still a lot to learn in a Corvette too ... I'd recommend it and would go back.
