Default POCONO NORTH This Thurs MAY 22

HEYGUYS- still openings for this event... http://www.hookedondriving.com/home.cfm

Spring is hesitating to come to the poconos.. it was 30 and frosty today.... Thursday scatter showers and 55 high- but like they say-- a bad day at the track is still better than a good day at work... dont you feel SICK?

WELL..... those who showed up had some real track time... about 3.5 hrs worth.... Tho it was typical POCONO rain and 40 degrees til noon, it did clear off and I got some runs in after 2pm....

NEXT STOP is CCNEPA's event this monday Memorial Day, and then NASA-PDA on May31-June1 ....

I was there. Did you win anything at lunch?

Afternoon sessions were dry and fast:

Me in the black Z and my buddy in the red Z.

NO WINNERS at my table... but pretty neat idea giving gas cards out... and a set of street tires too! Wonder if that would catch on --even like a 50/50 drawing..... $5 a ticket and winner takes 1/2? or winner takes all?

Draw it at end of day-- to insure everyone stays? Just thinking outloud here.

I think he's got a pretty simple JVC miniDV camera mounted on a shark bar.

My video is suction cup mounted on the back window.

Good job, looks like you guys had fun.

Here is a tip, take an early apex into the first right kink toward the infield. You should be able to gain a full second over the line that you were running. It's a common mistake people make at Pocono

My fastest time went down 1.5 sec simply by adjusting how I drove into the first two turns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik15_-DDmWM

Your right. There was a guy in an LX bodied Mustang that was taking that line and he barely had to touch the brakes. Next time, I'm trying it.

It's very hard to nail that apex as there are no signs.
