Thanks, guys! Amazing how much easier it is to get good shots w/ a nice, new digital SLR vs. a point-and-shoot Digital Elph (thanks to Dad for the camera loan!). Still, I probably only kept one in every 3 shots, because of blurring or focus...those passing shots can be tough! Thanks to Jeff Boerio for several tips on how to get good shots while making the cars still look "in motion" (too high a shutter speed and they look parked).

Yeah, maybe we should've stooped down or something, Lou! Enjoyed the visit, and was great watchin' you guys have such a good run. I hope maybe Eric will work out to keep co-driving and that your program will keep coming together. Next time he'll know how to adjust the belts better!

P.S. Thanks for the hats!

Hey Adam! Yeah, while the initial plans were to meet up w/ boerio and Jeffvette, I failed to mention above the other "half" of the crew-- Adam and Kellie the Flag Girl! What a blast that was, and I really enjoyed hangin' out w/ and getting to know ya, bud!

Well, it certainly helps to have Jeff Flint (a.k.a. Jeffvette) around-- even if the Forum doesn't want him!-- because (1) he has media credentials & access, and (2) he's NOT bashful about going wherever, talking to whomever, and acting like he's just simply *supposed* to be there...LOL. We've (well, mainly he's) gotten to be friends w/ several members of several ALMS & WC Corvette teams...

Case in point-- dinner w/ several of the Pratt & Miller crew, including Dan Binks and Gary Pratt:

May not have made clear: I'm in the black shirt giving thumbs up in last shot. Jeff is to my left.

Even w/o media credentials or Jeff leading the way, the ALMS and affiliated series offer pretty unparalleled access to their fans. The paddock area is open, and you can frequently go right up to the cars or at least within close range of the garage stalls. Plus, before the ALMS race, all of the cars are lined up on the front straight for the fans to walk around and look at. Really a cool series from that standpoint...

Nice pics! We had a great time too. We found your two girls.. only they lost some of their clothes when we found them...

and then there was this "corvette" guy getting autographs from the Porsche guys. What a dork.

And there was this guy.... trying to pick up on my wife.

I'd like to get a copy of the broadcast if anyone recorded it.. drop me a PM.
