This weekend at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. I'm going to be there Saturday, anyone else going?

I took some pics at the last open track event I went to there last month - it rained but was still pretty fun:

OK I'm confused. Do you register at the track? I'd hate to drive 4 hours to find out there's no room for me.

Hey John! Thanks for the links to the pics of my car! I had actually checked them out a while back when Robert Russom sent the link out to our group. I'll be there this weekend, as will the "Alabama Gang" (as Wayne Bodge likes to call us...and Wayne will be there too)...in our usual spot at the Turn 1 end of the 2nd paddock level.

If you are planning on doing this one also, you should have already registered online via the links above or directly at http://www.motorsportsreg.com. I don't see a Perkins on the list, and I believe the event may be full...

Fred - sounds good - I'll see you there.

Also, I think the event is full too from the looks of the online registering, I won't be bringing the Vette (this time...)

But I will bring the camera!

Little Talledega is having an event June 6th I think... you could probably make that one:

Check it out, here's an excerpt from the Solo Atlanta forums!

The 2008 SESM event staff team has decided to open up track positions to non S2000 and NSX owners. The 2008 South Eastern Super Meet includes a track day on Friday June 6, 2008 at Little Talladega Grand Prix Raceway http://www.tgprace.com/

Cost to participate will be $175. We anticipate running 4 groups with no more than 10 cars in each group. The goal is to get in 4 morning and 4 afternoon runs per driver.

We welcome any car enthusiast to join us for an exciting day of driving. Feel free to check out http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=572368 for more information.

Actual event registration will be handled through Eventbrite http://sesmtrack.eventbrite.com/

Feel free to email me at sesm08@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Bill K.

Thanks for the heads up, but I think I should sit that one out since the 6th is my 10 year anniversary. She's already fired up because I leave that night to go to Barber on Saturday.

Hey, I just saw this post now that I'm home, but I definitely saw your car and should have a few pics of it (still sifting through and editing / uploading - I took over 2,000 pics this weekend).

I got a few of your car behind the Caddy that I brought up:

And here's Fred gassing up and doing a new forearm workout he came up with:

The rest are uploading here:

LOL...hey now-- don't forget...not too long ago, we couldn't even SEE your brake lights! BTW, I did find the cause for that-- during a tow hook install, my esteemed assistant routed the wiring harness too close to the muffler when putting everything back together. The loom had melted onto the harness and there was a spot where the wire itself was showing. It would short out and blow the fuse every time I'd go back out and start slinging the car around. Best I could do was re-route the harness and wrap it in electrical tape. Workin' so far!

I had to leave early due to heat soak issues. The supercharger and a standard cooling system don't play well together on the track.
