Default Ran the Z at Hallett this past weekend

Just had to share a few pics from the weekend. I had a Great time.
There was another MY Z06 (#10), not sure if he is a CF member.
I also had some guy named Eddie Hill on my butt both days.
Saturday there were two Ariel Atoms out there.
Eddie was a heck of a nice guy. , but he sure made me look slow.
I guess the Atom is the right car for a dragster. 0-60 in 2.9

Eddie Hill http://www.trnonline.com/eddiehill/biography/index.html

This was my first trip to the track in the new (to me) Z06.
The car was just great. So much more precise than my 50th. And I feel a whole lot safer not driving a convertable. The 6point harness helped, but the seats have got to go. At least my sport seats in the 50th provided some lateral support.

It seemed like he was everywhere

Awesome pictures. The C5 Z really is an amazing platform right off the showroom floor. I just installed a Kirkey seat in my ZO6 this weekend and the difference is amazing. I'm really happy with mine, but I've heard good things about the Ultrashield seat. I would have bought one, but I needed a seat quick and couldn't wait the 3 week backorder period.

I have not with this car. The Z is new to me. It's only got 4,000 miles on it. I bought it in Philly two months ago with only 1600 miles. I'm sure this was it's first time on the track, or first time to really stretch the legs a bit.

I'm already getting the rear end leak. I will hold off till winter and would like to attempt that fix myself. If I get a lift to work on.

Other than the butt leak, the car has been flawless.

A set of seats is on the horizon for me. The sport seats in my convertable are better than the Z seats. Oh well, start saving my $$$

I had a what seemed to be a leak with my rear (with only 28k miles).. took it in to the dealer and $100 bucks later found out it was overfilled (possible from the factory) and when it got hot it spewed through the vent tube!!!

Hi John,
Yep I'm here. I drove the other Yellow '03 Z06 #10. This was my first time back on the track since last October and I was really slow. Probably going to be back at Hallett for the June 28-29 HST. Hope to see ya there.

Dave, sorry I missed you. I walked over by your car but didn't see you. It was a fun day, although I couldn't catch the viper.
Ariel was just blazing fast. At least 10 secs faster lap times.
Eddie would pass me with ease.
I won't make it for June, I'm going to MSR for the Apex driving on the 14th.
