I use this for sucking the brake fluid out of the M/C, diff fluid, small engine oil changes, etc. I removes the entire brake fluid quantity in the M/C in like 3 seconds! I got it at Tractor Supply Company, $40.
"Extracts oil out through the dipstick tube. Makes oil changes quick, clean and easy. No electricity needed. The liquivac large engine/project model works by creating negative pressure, or vacuum power in the tank by pumping the tank handle. Each pump stroke takes air out of the tank creating a vacuum. Just 40 quick pump strokes creates vacuum power in the tank. This vacuum is powerful enough to extract used oil out through the dipstick/fill tube with the release of the suction hose clamp. For large engines containing 4-5 quarts of oil, it take approximately 8-10 minutes to extract the oil out. For small engines, such as lawn mowers it takes less than one minute. The liquivac works great on boats, lawn mowers, lawn &garden tractors, tillers, cars, generators, snow throwers, ATVs and outboard motors as well as transmission/differential fluids. "

I just used one of those hand pumps that attaches to the top of the bottles. However, I put the oil can in the microwave for about 3 minutes before trying to pump the fluid out. It makes pumping the fluid out of the can a lot easier. Just make sure you get the metal seal on top of the oil can off before putting it in the microwave (if it has one).

Change the fitting at the end of the hose and it works well as an engine pre oiler when the engine is sitting on the stand.

My wife would absolutely kill me if I tried that. I can spill/boil anything over in the microwave. Can you imagine how ticked she would be to find gear oil left her in microwave...(yes, I don't clean up)

Well, for 3 minutes at 50% power, it just made it a little warm so it wasn't so hard to pump. That's not to say that I told the SO what I had done.......

Mine knows the wonderful aroma of diff fluid since I spilled some in the garage a few times. And had a leaking diff before. If she found that smell in the house I would be living in the garage, again ....

Boys, if you can't justify the Longacre power filler, here's a pretty easy way to fill the xmission and the diff.

The suction gun holds about 18oz of fluid per loading. It makes filling pretty easy. I have one for the diff and one for the xmission so I don't have to clean the other fluid out. They're about $8 or $9 at Advance Auto.

Plus no cooking of the fluid to get it thin enough to pump.
