Lightweight rear window/hatch replacement?
Anyone out there make a stock looking lightweight rear window /hatch replacement for the C6? Weight? Cost?

ACP has them about 450-500 half the weight of glass. It is high CG weight so it helps in the corners.

just lexan you will have to drill and bolt to your hatch or get a CF hatch for more money. I would get another hatch like I did and save your ggod one Phoenix may have one. If I ever have the time to work on my car I weigh the glass vs lexan. Trying for this weekend.

I bought my rear Lexan from Melrose T Top a few years ago. I did the install very Quickly, but these are racing parts and we used the metal straps to hold it down. It didn't have the same functionality as a stock hatch.
I think John is saying you can use the stock guts off a parts car to make it work w stock latches.
You will probably need metal straps/braces to get through tech.
I'd wouldn't let you through without it.
Lt wt roofs are cheap and easy too.
I think stock rear glass weighs about 60#s vs under 20# for lexan.
It's probably the single easiest place to drop 40#s off your car
