http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/01/g...-down-to-7-29/

According to the link above, the Nissan GT-R has lowered its time to 7:29. Although faster, I think the ZR-1 needs another run with a C6R driver at the helm. I want to see 7:20, flat!!!

And, if Nissan is using special rubber, boost settings, Spec-V motor, etc. (and I am very suspicious of them after the V-Spec ringers they gave to some of the car mags), then hey, let's run shaved tires and higher boost, too, Chevy! Let's go for ALL the marbles!

Jan Magnussen. Think he's their ring jockey. Any of those guys would be good though.

i think the WRX at the bottom is the most suprising to me. that's a heavy car with less hp than a base c6. that's a good time for one of those.

Did you miss the parts that says "spec C prototype"?
That is not a production car.

I found it interesting that somebody said there was a nasty headwind coming toward the Vette. Sounds like the car could have been a bit faster. I think that was in the Autoblog article.

As far as drivers I have to think that Heinricy or Jan would be the one's. Very impressive, although I would like to see some sustained lapping in that car to see if any heat issues arise with the s/c engine.

Not that I think that anyone would use one for a track rat(ZR1), but I really like the idea of the ACR Viper with the Hardcore package. Don't you guys think that GM should have an equal package on the Z06/ZR1?
