I want to use the LPE oil line adapter to hook up an oil cooler. I tried to get the wire for the temp sensor to move a little but it is coming up at least an inch short. Would it hurt anything to lengthen this wire by soldering in a short piece of wire? Thanks

Solder away, I'm sure you will be just fine. I assume it is a single conductor, not some type of coax

i pt on same thing, just add wire and solder it works great! i put some heat insulation on wire but if your not running headers ur prob ok!

A solder joint may workharden depending on vibration and how much the wire flexes. The trick is to always use heat shrink with a soldered connection. That way the entire assembly will move with the vibration.
