Congrats Dave OH32 Toledo ProSolo SS Winner
Dave OH32 took the win in SS this past weekend at the Toledo ProSolo. Running Pfadt components, he was able to secure the win on the second day after breaking the drivers seat on the first day of runs. Congrats on pulling off an excellent comeback.

Thanks guys, it was definitely an awesome weekend and a great feeling to get by Matthew on my last runs. The car was absolutely perfect all weekend. Even on 70 run tires!! The Pfadt Sport Shocks and Sway Bar are an excellent combination. Obviously a pretty competitive package. I can't thank Aaron enough for making such a great product.

Dave was flying out there!!! He has been getting faster and faster lately...he has just had cone/red light troubles at a couple of events where he certainly would have been near the top of the standings. He has certainly an improved driver and his car is obviously very well setup on the Pfadt parts.
I didn't have my car out there this weekend and was co-driving Chris Hammond's car (which is on the Konis). Thats me in DFL and him in front of me. I switched my car earlier this year from Konis to a Pfadt sport shock/sway bar setup and noticed a marked improvement. I can tell you this, after driving on the Konis again, I won't be going back. Obviously some very good drivers get the Konis to work for them , but I personally never felt comfortable with the Konis on my car, if not for just the crappy adjustment mechanism alone.
Anyways, congrats again Dave!

70 run tires! WOW I can barely get 70 runs out of my A6's let alone win a ProSolo on them. Nice driving.
I'm curious how much you use the adjustments on your front sway bar? Do you ever run it at any setting other than full stiff?
Chris

As for sway bar adjustments...I use the Pfadt Street bar with the pillow block mounts. The street bar is a good bit stiffer than stock and I currently run it on full soft which seems to work pretty well. Any more than that and the car picks up a push. If you weren't using the pillow blocks you might be able to run it at a stiffer setting than I do with the pillow blocks...

Thanks! I knew going in that the tires were not at their optimum but I didn't want to buy another set of stickers for the Toledo Pro and a bunch of locals just to turn around and have to buy another new set for nationals. The two free Hoosiers make the situation a whole lot easier on the wallet!!

What settings are you running on the shocks?

Yes, I had the inverted 3013's up until I switched to the Pfadt's this season. There really is no comparison. I wasn't very happy with the Koni's. The combination of the setup issues I had with them, combined with the quality issues (sticking adjusters+slipping bushings etc.) was just a little more than I was willing to accept from an $1100 investment. With the Koni's my car was *ok* but not great. You had to manhandle the car to get it to transition and it had a slight push no matter what settings they were at that you really had to "drive through" that I wasn't thrilled about. The car got instantaneously better with the change to Pfadt's. The car turns so beautifully now, it takes a set mid-corner and just does what you ask it to. With the Koni's on the car I was continually waiting for the car to turn to get on the throttle and that is no more. If you're not thrilled with the Koni's I'd highly recommend making the switch. For $890, its hard to go wrong!!

Dave,
Thank you for being so forthcoming. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates it. At this point, I'm not sure if it's the shocks or my driving that could use the most improvement. Probably the driving.
Would you mind if I dropped you an e-mail with specifics? Don't want to hijack this thread too much.
Thanks a lot,
