Rain, lots of rain.
1. Buttermore
2. Pintaric (who?)
3. Murray
4-10 I don't know...
It was such a confusing day of racing. Absolute downpour that caused SCCA to shorten the race to 7 laps (wise decision BTW). AJ followed team orders and parked his car after dicing with John Buttermore for the lead. The two of them checked out from me (a Viper is a real handful in the rain, let me tell you!), so I thought I was driving in third rather than second. Had some real "fun" slipping and sliding on the Glen's pavement. Did a perfect 360 entering the Bus Stop (think Danny Sullivan!), when I didn't hit anything I said to myself "God loves me."
I am disappointed there wasn't a real race. I am slowly getting my nerve/courage back and was eagerly anticipating a good run with AJ, Junior and Dr. Bob. Oh well, bringing home the car in one piece is always a good thing.

What do I mean by the "fourth day?" You know that adage, "Bad things happen in threes?" Well:
#1 Thursday night my daughter calls me as I am registering at the hotel, she had a traffic accident (she's 16 1/2). It wasn't her fault and no one as hurt, but...
#2 Friday, the car is backed out of my garage stall after replacing brake pads without pumping the brakes...and runs into a parked passenger car. Damage to my newly fixed T1 racer (left qtr, tailamps and bumper cover) and a nice Rx8 (left qtr and "mini
door), and...
#3 Saturday, at the end of my 4th qualifying lap I notice a clunking from driveline...turns out my transmission let go. I barely was able to limp back to the garage.
So, luck was on my side on Sunday 'cause all my bad things had happened already!

Kurt mentioned it was Andrew's decision. His exact words were "mature beyond his years".
Good to hear you did well after "the incident". Continued good luck
