Default Longer studs

Going to get some race wheels, and I want to get some longer studs at the same time in order to be able to run spacers. Does anyone know the ARP stud that's longer than stock and will fit a C5 hub?

Yes, it is the GM metric:

Hmm. Ok. Kodiak wheels, by the way. They seem to need longer studs from the start, based on pics I have.

They are really long, I cut mine down on a lathe that much and I still had more than stock. They are at least 3/4 (15mm) longer than OE.

ARP makes two different studs for the corvette. A 2.5" and a 3". The 2.5" is still quite a bit longer than factory, and the 3" is just plain nuts.

I have the 2.5" ARPs - NAPA open ended hardened lug nuts - about $1.10 each when I bought mine. $1.40 each now IIRC

rear
18x13" CCW with 3/8" CCW spacer

front
18x12" CCW

ARP stud catalog showing GM units. GM Racing also has a set of longer studs.

I'll never buy wheels again that require longer studs or spacers....too much work every time you need to change bearings, or have a stud fail.

Yep, that's the catalog page I was looking at. The stock studs are 2", using the L1 measurement from above. I've got some photos of Kodiak wheels with stock studs, and it looks to me like the longer studs are called for. It may look dorky on the street but I don't care about that too much.

Whew...based on the title I was worried you were looking for something else.

I use the ARP studs and think they are crap...structurally sound (so far) but the coating on them makes the first several uses difficult and they seem to cross thread much easier than others I used. I had another brand before (I think I had Moroso) and liked them better.

The Kodiak wheels I run definitely require longer studs - I'd say 1" longer than stock. I have a full set of ARP's that I'm planning to install this winter when I do all the wheel bearings - mine are 3".
