Anyone come up with or seen any ingenious ideas to sweep up shrapnel at tracks that are used for other than racing. Our parking lots used for a fair every year, and after the fact there are nails and screws everywhere.
Just a helpful thread if anyone has made or seen something work well.

Magnetic floor sweeps can be used for smaller areas. There are also some tow behinds listed as well.

Or you can make your own by buying several of these and moutning them to a piece of flat steel bar stock. Put a couple of small coaster wheels on the set the height and then hang from the rear bumper of a vehicle and go to it.

Harbor freight, Northern Tools. We use them. Don't pay a hundred or more dollars. We just bought one form Harbor freight for $40 bucks on sale. They are usually 50-$80.00. Believe me the more expensive ones are not any better made and are usually the same made in China product.
The magnet with wheels work well. Of course the scrap has to be steel to get picked up.
