Default These are the Solid Spherical Bearings you've been looking for!

With race season well under way, we're all testing the limits of our race cars and of course our driving! Seat time is the only cure for better driving, but in conjunction with that, our engineers have been busy working on cures for your race car.

We're very proud to formally launch our Pfadt Solid Spherical Bearing kit. Polyurethane bushings are a huge improvement over factory rubber, but solid mounts are the ultimate in eliminating friction and deflection in your control arms.

The factory busing deflection leads to unwanted toe and camber changes in both the front and rear as well as steering sluggishness. We've been running these on our race car for two seasons now and we can run less camber (because we don't have to account for the deflection), we get more consistent tire wear, and the steering is crisp and responsive.

Our kit replaces all 18 bushings with beautiful 6061 T6 aluminum sleeves, anodized Pfadt orange and laser etched with our logo and part numbers. The bearings are held in place with military grade Loctite 638 and retaining clips - they are actually easier to install then polyurethane bushings.

It takes about 108 individual bits to make one 18-piece kit. We do most of the work for you, so all you need to do is the install. Made and assembled in the USA, this kit is is the right solution for your control arms.

Please let us know if you have questions about any of our products or about car set up in general.

Do these use a steel spherical bearing sandwiched inside the aluminum collar? Or is the entire assembly aluminum? Is it necessary to seal the bearing against dirt/grit?

Thanks!

These are a steel bearing inside an aluminum housing.

Here is a cutaway.

They are certainly streetable, if you do not mind tire noise and a lot of input from the road.

They are not sealed, seals could be added, but because we decided that most would not see street duty, seals would just add complexity.

If there is call for sealed units than we can look into that.

The bearings themselves are Teflon lined units and can be replaced if they wear out.

Our kit does all 18 of the bushings - both lower and upper control arms. The other difference is that this kit can be self-installed by a competent do-it-youselfer without sending the arms out.

These are also removable and could be transferred to a different control arm if the control arm was damaged.

John,

All of the factory a-arms have machined surfaces that the rubber bushings press into. Our spherical kit is designed to be a slip fit into those housings. We provide Loctite bearing retaining compound to stop rotation and there is a snap ring for positive axial retention.

Very, very nice Aaron. Damn, I saw a new stainless steel toolbox with a Pioneer stereo and a fridge at Lowes that I wanted, now I have to go spend 2 grand (or so) on these instead !
