Default Hyd. clutch fluid

I continue to fight what I think is the degradation of my clutch fluid. I start the day with good clutch operation but by the end of the day complete disengagement goes away. I'm hoping it is fluid related. When I bleed the system with fresh fluid everything seems to work well. Any recommendations on a good fluid to use? Right now I just use a good DOT 3 brake fluid. Have tried the GM stuff with now better results.

I run ATE Super Blue in mine & have never had a problem.
Does your car have headers? If so you may need to wrap the line from your slave cylinder to protect it from the heat.

Yes, long tubes. I do intend to wrap the lines.

first time I did my clutch I installed heat shielding on all the hydraulic lines and even the feed line from the RES to the MC. Using regular Castrol LMA I never had a clutch pedal probelm at the track or on the street.

Just recently flushed the fluid with Motul RBF 600 did an HPDE @ pocono with 60 mintues of abuse in HIGH heat and had the same positive results. I'm convinced that fresh fulid & heat shielding plays a big roll in how the hydraulics operate.

Many get it from a motorcycle supply place.
I get mine from Pegasus.

(There's post about a place in AZ/NM (UPRacing) that's cheaper, free shipping over 100.00, but the shipping costs are higher enough for me on the east coast that the delivered price from pegasus is cheaper ... (again, for a < $100.00 order)

As Mungo describes - UPRacing, like many other racer parts suppliers, does offer FREE shipping for orders over $100 if you can combine your order with other needed stuff.

On the east coast, BSR Products near Charlotte (Lowe's) Motor Speedway also carries Motul for about $17.95/bottle. But it sounds like it is locally available at most motorcycle joints, too...

GM has clutch fluid. there is an additive in there. like a friction modifier, or something fancy like that.

I get mine from a local speed shop down the road for 16 a bottle. they have all motul products from their brake fluids to their oil.
