i know this sounds crazy
but i wonder if i take out my passenger seat if it would be possible to haul all 4 track tires/wheels to the track that is about 180 miles one way
i would wrap tire/rims that would be up front of course.
sorry just bored thinking about racing

i think two will fit there - another one or two on the rear deck...not that i have ever tried. (c5z) The problem is they're too tall to lay on their side in the passenger well.

FOR SURE in a C6Z. Before I had my trailer for the fist 2 events, I could fit 3 tires (2) 285/18's and (1) 345/19. I couldn not fit all 4, but if you take your seat out you "may". I lucked out and had buddy's attending each event that were able to transport the remaining tire. I hated that as no matter how good you wrap, the car will get dirty and it will definately block vision out of you passenger side bordering on dangerous. I am so glad I found my $1900 trailer on e-bay!

What about picking up a little lightweight tire trailer? Receiver hitch and 4x6 or 4x8 trailer is pretty cheap. You can add a tool box, take your jack, tools, etc. along and have storage for all that stuff, and still have room for a passenger.
Just a thought.

On a C5 Coupe with the seat out they will fit with the hatch open about 1". Now if I had removed the plastic piece covering the speakers the hatch would close. This is with 335/17 rears and 315/17 Fronts. two in the back, two up front with the second front wheel sitting kinda sideways imposing a bit on my right arm. 2 trips to Putnam, 1 to Mid-Ohio and one to VIR like that all from Cincy. Just make sure you get the hatch down to within an inch or the exhausrt fumes get kinda strong

I'm 99% sure Alan Blaine used to do this in his C5 FRC. 315/35-17s on 17x11 GS replicas all around. It did require feeding the wheels in from the passenger door since the C5 FRC/Z06 trunk-opening is too small to let a 315 through.
