Are 315/30-18's a Good Fit on 10.5's?
for a Kumho V710? R6? Is the tire pinched? The manufacturers recommend an 11" rim. I have factory Z06 Speedlines. What size are most of you running on the stock rims?

hoosiers really like wide rims. the sidewall is like steel!
so run 305 on stock rear rims on the front and get ccw 12 inch rims for the back and run 335's !!!!!!!!

I measured my 315s and they were about an inch wider than stated on their website. I will be running those on a 12" rim and the 295s on an 11". I have 335s on the 12" now and they buldge a little...seems like 335 would love a 13" rim. I am pretty sure I will get better performance from a 315 on a 12, than a 335. More tire = More weight, not always better performance.
Also, when I was reading through hoosiers website about there DOT tires, they made a point to state that the "measured" rim width is not necessarily ideal for that tire...that its basically mandated to measure a give tire size on a given rim.
"For our radial tires a good rule of thumb is to take the tread width dimension (+-) 1/2 inch. This will put you in the optimum range for the tire. The tire will mount on a wheel outside of this range, however performance and wear may be negatively affected.
If you find that your vehicle, or the rules, will not allow a wide enough wheel for the tire you think you would like, consider using a narrower tire. In most cases a properly sized wheel/tire combination will outperform a wider tire on a wheel that is too narrow.
If you are looking at our DOT bias racing tires the tolerance is a bit broader. For our DOT bias line we publish a "measured rim" or "design rim" dimension. This dimension simply indicates the width of the wheel the tire was mounted on when the other listed dimensions are recorded.
...
Whenever a D.O.T. tire spec is published there are Tire & Rim Association guidelines for the specific rim size for a particular tire. This is intended to standardize the information so that it is possible to compare one brand of tire to another.
For performance uses these Tire & Rim Association recommendations may not reflect a best choice or the designed application."
Keep that in mind

I put 315 GSCS tires on my front 9.5" rims. No problems mounting, steering was not as precise as 275, but braking was excellent. I was surprised that the bulge was not real noticeable.
T1 guys run 315 on front 10" rims.
