Stop It!!!!!!
I have run my 07 Z06 at 3 track events. It's time for new brake pads.
I wont be running this car on the track much in the future. GM pads are $$$$$$, why? What are my options? Can anyone help me Stop It!?!

BHP has a great compound, but I had the only set the made....and appearantly there hasn't been enough demand to make more.
I generally love Hawk, but I burned through a set of DTC70's in 2 days, so can't recommend them for THIS application.
The Stock pads actually work really well, and last quite a while, but I don't know about the cost comparison. Carbotechs are pricey, but might be your best bet.

Stock pads if bought in the kit that include the locking pins are expensive. However, you can buy the pads alone by using the AC/Delco part numbers and save quite a bit. If you can't find the part numbers, PM me and I'll look at my pad box at home. You can also do a look at some of the sites that have GM parts.
I've run HPS and HP+ pads and find them to wear pretty quickly compared to the stock pads. However, the braking is more linear and threshold braking more predictable. Pads are like cars, everybody has their own preference.

GM makes a pad for the masses not track pads with repeated stopping. Think most owners would like brake dust fused on to their wheels and paint like a race pad? Stock pads can't even do one 150-0 stop without fade in a C5. You can probably do a liitle better than stock without a totally messed up car. Call LGM.

I went through a set of Racingbrake.com 700 series pads in 2 events....ugghh...
I am on my second event with Hawks HP Plus next week, so i'll let you know how they wear next week.

from what i have heard from drivers and read on the net pfc and carbotechs are best bang for the buck because they last the longest. not cheap but...they last and they don't fade so you stop!
