Cobalt One Piece replacement **PICS INSIDE**
First look,
The GTS compound pads just arrived today, and here is your first look at them.
As you can see there is more material there overall from the OE pads. No change to the caliper is needed and it is a direct drop in replacement. No need to remove or loosen any of the pins ever again!
Below you will see the one piece pad on the bottom, with the padlets placed on top. You can see how much area is made up with the new one piece pad.
FRONT
REAR
Of course you will come to expect the same great pad compounds from Cobalt that you always have. Pads are in stock, and these will be replacing the padlet replacements from Cobalt.

Pricing has not changed much. $275 for front GTS pads and $249 for rear GTS pads. I will have pricing on XR2's shortly.

In the Cobalt range of compounds, is the GTS closer to Hawk HP+ or DTC-xx compounds? Are the GTS's good enough for aggressive HPDE use?
Am I correct in undersatanding that the XP2 compound is an aggressive race only compound?
The GTS price seems pretty good, but I bet the XR2's are little more

The GTS is more of a track pad than a Hawk HP+ pad, it is not rated as a daily driver pad, more of a HPDE track pad for beginners and intermediate drivers looking for a pad that they can drive back and forth to the track on. They are not 100% quiet so I would not use them as a daily, but many have.
The XR2's are a little more, but not to much. They are hundreds less than a comparable PFC pad.

looks like about a 15% increase in volume....looking forward to hearing results and hopefully NOT hearing of any issues
I only got 2 days out of the last set of pads I used (DTC70's), and at nearly $300 a set, I think I'm just going to stop taking Z06's to the track

How do they compare to the Carbotech XP10
Is the GTS compound quiet enough for the street?

Cobalt XR2 one piece C6 Z06
This is the first set of CTS's that I have seen, but we have had the C6 Z06 one piece XR2 for a couple of weeks.
We ran them Monday and Tuesday at the NCM Elkhart Lake HPDE. They were available at Elkhart all weekend. I know several guys that got them there.

I would rate the XR2's above the XP12's from what limited use that we tried them (Carbotech pads).
