Default CCW Classics

Does anybody know if the 17x10 CCW Classics fit over the LG Wilwood SL6 wide caliper brakes? I am looking at a set today.

Ya need a spacer. I believe its a 3/8ths or possibly a 1/2 inch spacer.

Standard C5 Z06 front wheel clears the caliper by about a quarter inch. Is the CCW spoke design and thickness that much different than the Z wheel? Even if I install longer lug bolts is it safe to run that large of a spacer on the front?

I wouldn't run 1/2" spacer. that is pretty serious.

I just did a dry fit of my SL-6 with some different wheels.

The stock Z06 fronts (17x9.5) fit no problem.

The stock Z06 rears (18x10.5) fit with no rubbing and no spacer but doesn't have the clearance the fronts do. Spokes are very close to the inside (where SL-6 lettering is). Would probably feel more comfy with a 1/4" (8mm) spacer.

The CCW 17x10.5 fronts (don't know backspacing) fit with a 1/4" (8mm) spacer but very tight again. With longer studs 1/2" may be more suitable.

I had to replace the one front hub a while earlier and didn't have time to put the longer studs in. Now trying these CCWs over the SL-6 calipers and a 1/4" spacer on stock studs, I'm able to get 6.5 turns in of the lug nut. I heard somewhere 4+ threads is good??

I have been running aftermarket GS offset ZR1 12x11 wheels in the front and they clear the calipers by about an 1/8 inch. Haven't had any problems with that clearance. Where did you get your spacer? Is it hub centric?

I was reading on one of the spacer supplier sites that they recommend 7 turns of the lug nut.

It's a FLEE-BAY site so I can't post but do a search for "WHEEL SPACERS ADAPTERS CHEVY CORVETTE" and you should come up with them. Yes, they are hub-centric. Have used for a couple years now with no issues. Have various sizes.

I've been racing with a 3/8 inch spacer for the past year, with no adverse side effects.

Hmm...after I torque them down, they should be 7 turns or dang close to it... 6.5 turns just hand tightening.

CCW or DRM has spacers.
