Default Just got back from the SORC

Not sure how many on here attend, but I have a ton of pictures up. It was a great week of Racing.
two track days
1/2 mile grudge match drag races
1 mile shoot out
and an Open Road Challenge.

I ended up doing fairly well 2nd in the 110mph class for the Open Road Challenge and was also on both the winning team for the shoot out and the Open Road Challenge...

This is by far my favorite event of the year. The town is Awesome!

The main event is based in Arnold, NE.
The Grudgematch is in Thedford, shootout in callaway, track day at MPH in hastings..

www.sorcrace.com is the website for the event.

But besides all the BS did you have fun?
I couldn't believe how the town came alive Saturday night.

Found this:

What a weekend! The weather was great as was the food, hospitality, Grudge Drags, Shootout and the main event, the ORR.

Congrats to Ron Adee for setting shootout records in the mile (219) and the half mile (184) and the road race (145 mph average). That Viper (Chevy Engine) really rips.

The whole event was class from start to finish.

You didn't suck. You have a great car. There was a lot of us who didn't finish within the one sec of target time. It was still a great time in a great town.

I think there was more people in the park than the population of Arnold.

See you there next year.

I have to agree with JR todd.

Last year Brad and I did almost the exact same thing as you did. We thought we were way to fast and had to scrub speed, then the next mile we figured it out and was able to get back on track. The only difference was you weren't able to get back on track. First year out you have no clue what to expect.
Anything under 1second is pure *** luck in my opinion!
