[VIDEO] Gavin Crashes at Road America
Oliver Gavin had the #4 C6.R Corvette running in first place at Road America when he went wide coming out of the Kink. The Corvette blew a couple tires and took out a billboard sign before coming to a rest in a gravel trap.

As a result, the #3 Corvette won their 6th race of the season while the #008 Aston Martin came in 2nd.

Burning Brakes
In an excellent example of recycling, the track was REUSING that old Champ Car banner to hold up a current sponsor's billboard. 
When he hit the back of the sign, it stripped out the old CC sign, and he rode it right into a sand trap down-track.

Nice job keeping the car in the grass, if he had bounced back onto the track it probably would have hooked him hard into the wall on drivers right like so many other cars have over the years. If you go off at the exit of the kink your best bet is to stay in the throttle and try to ride it out like he did.
