Default Non-DOT rear tires and DOT front tires....

I was able to pick up some non-DOT Dunlop scrubs marked "For Competition Use Only" made in England. I cannot run them in the front anymore due to the bigger hats and was wondering if anyone has run a non-DOT tire along with a a DOT tire such as a Hoosier R6 or Goodyear GSCS and had no handling/safety issues running different types of tires?

I know alot of people that run different mixes of brands, such as a Hoosier/Goodyear) mix front/rear, but what about different types of tires?

I would be running the non-DOT 315's in the rear and DOT 295's in the front.

TIA

As long as the stickier tire is in the rear you will be OK. You may have a little more understeer than normal but you can easily compensate for that. Several years ago when my tire budget was tight I ran GY slicks on the rear and Michelin PS2 235/35/17s on the front. The Michelins actually did pretty good and handling wasn't a problem.
