Default Best low profile floor jack for track days?

I had to borrow a low profile jack last weekend at Road Atlanta to swap my wheels because mine wasn't low enough to use with the jacking puck. What kind do you guys use and where did you get it?

I am sure that you want a lighter jack for track days, but AC DK13HLQ low profile jack is one of the best.

Any interest in trying to start a "group buy"?

The Harbor Freight one doesn't look like it's any lower than my Craftsman one and I can't get that one under my car now with the stock front lowering bolts maxed and the WCC rears.

I use the HF jack and I have to drive up on some 2x6's that are put together to make a 4" ramp. That's what it takes to get under the front cross member.

It fits fine under the rear cross member with no need for the ramps.

I'm lowered all the way on stock bolts in the front.

Roll your car on a plank before you put your jack under the car it will give you enough clearance to get a jack with puck under the car.

HF or pep boys - same jack. About $79. I use a 4"x 6" piece of 3/8" ply wood on the mid-point gusset. C5 is lowered all the way. The only time I have clearance issue is when running 285/3?-18 all around.

I have the Harbor Freight jack and just set a 3" diameter 1/4" piece of plywood on it. With that big round jacking surface, there's no need for thick pucks.

Sears had their low profile on sale for $54.95 last week. It starts at 3.5". I just never got a chance to get over there.

I brought a $300 westwood "racing" jack. When it arrived, the box was saturated in hydrolic oil. It wouldn't lift anything. I returned it, and got a full refund.

went out and brought a $15 sears floor jack. been absolutly perfect.

Also, if you don't have a low profile jack, just drive over a piece of wood like a 2X12 and you'll gain 1 1/2" of clearance. If you do, cut the ends at a 45 degree so the board doesn't kick up when you drive up on it of off of it.
