They moved it from FIA to 1963-66 production race. John Morton started it on the pole, led, played and swapped lead for the crowd and then took off. Corvettes finished 1-2-3 in that race.

Production?

All in all a great weekend of racing and Sunday's '63-'66 Prod. Sports Car race with the Grand Sport amongst all the other C2 Corvettes was a treat to watch.

Thanks for asking.

13th out of 27 finishers. I had the heaviest car by 600lbs, tied for oldest car in the group. I had the biggest engine, but not the most powerful. An excellent driver would have been half a dozen positions quicker.

The top 3 are ex-pros. Bobby Rahal was scheduled for the group, but the car didn't arrive. He drove two other groups.

One of the cool things was going into the slow corners behind the 800 hp+ turbo 935s. They put out about two feet of flames for a couple seconds.

I love historic races.

Went to a real one in Pittsburgh.

I really want to hit Lime Rock's, hopefully I'll be in the area.

Congrats David

Howard, probably "or", if we get a few laps in Thursday and Friday I will be thrilled. We'll see what the field looks like for the weekend but they usually run too fast for me in my groups....not for the car....but for me

Brian, we were at Pittsburgh this year at Beaver Run but it rained the entire weekend, the really old racers (cars) run at Schenley Park the following weekend.

Yeah, it WAS cool watching those 935's going through Salinas with the trailing flames ... we were high up on the outside of the corner with a birds eye view looking down on you guys coming through ... fantastic place to observe Salinas. The Monza/935 battle for first was exciting. Great job.

RE: Rahal ... it was a lot of fun watching him move up through the CAN-AM group to win the race after starting 24th.
