What wheels for a C5Z on the track?
I bought a C5Z for the track. I had a set of 18x12 C5Z wheels from my C6Z. They seem to be too wide.
I am curious to know what most of you are using for wheels on the track. Size and size of tires. Front and back.
Thanks,
Dan

Just take the rear inner fender wells out to get inner clearance for the 18x12's. Then run the 18x10.5's from the back on the front.
The after market 18x12's are a little rears on the rear on the street, and run stock C5 Z rear on the front and 18x12 CCW Classics on the rear at the track.

Dan,
I use OEM ZO6 rear's (18 x 10.5) for front and rear. They will clear most big brake setup's. Maybe a small spacer in front for Stoptech's.
295's and 315's R-6 Hoosier's. You can use 18 x 12's for rear but you need to min tub.
OEM is a fairly lightweight good cost effective wheelset. The next step is to call John at CCW for a really good wheelset that is reasonably priced.

Why'd you switch? Just curious--I would think most would never go back.
Most people with the C5Z just find 2 more 18 x 10.5's for the front and run all for corners the same tire & wheel. Then you can rotate any which way.

Thanks guys. The logical thing sounds like to do the 10.5's all the way around. I just tried the 18x12's because I had them.
I guess I'll sell them and get another set of rears.
Thanks,
Dan
