Corvette's @ Carlisle 2008 - Autocrossing Video
Ok. It's a hodge podge of 6 different videos made on 2 different days. Its not always my best moments in the course, but I went with good parts of the video to make the best "experience" of watching and being in teh car. It's also my first attempt with windows movie maker which is suprisingly easy to use. The best time of the day was I think the Katech car dirven by a pro-autocross driver from Katech of 41.90 I think. I did a best of 47.48, which for stock tire size and run flats isn't too bad.

What days were the autocrosses held? I was there on Saturday parked on the hill above the course and there was nothing but Corvettes parked down below.

CVCC hosts the non-NCCC point event at Carlisle. Practice was on Friday from about 2PM to 6PM. Best times were in the 44 to 45 second range.
Sunday was the "official" timed trophy event. Sunday times were in the 41 to 42 second range. The C5 Z06s and C6s w/sticky tires on Sunday turned these times. I had a 43.9 in a stock C5 w/A6s.
Lancaster County Corvette Club is hosting a double NCCC autox on Sunday Sept. 21 at the Oregon Dairy parking lot. Oregon Dairy Store is off the "Oregon" exit of I-222, about 5 miles north of Lancaster, PA.

One of the smallest, tightest courses I've ever run - including off camber turns and some slight elevation changes, too! my best time out of 3 runs on Sunday was a 42.8 .
CVCC does a fantastic job encouraging novices to get in and give it a try. Friday practice and Sunday runs worked very well. Here's to hoping they can continue to keep this going at Corvettes@Carlisle

One car almost bit it. It was a beautiful 1967 with a built out 440, on stock suspension. Just passing hte timing gate he spun hard into the infield. for about 3 secs we all expected it to flip over when two wheels started to lift.
