Default Porsche Event at Mid Ohio (Sept 27/28)

Anyone going to the Porsche club event at Mid-Ohio the end of September? I'm signed up to go.

Might be interested... Which club is it? I plan to make the November Porsche event. Went last year. Great event. The harness rules may keep me away though.
Thanks

Anyone run with them before?

Do you have to have an instructor the whole weekend or can you get signed off to go SOLO?

If signed off, can you take passengers?

How many different run groups/classes they have?

RickF: looks to be the Allegheny region of the PCA putting it on

I'll be there as well as a number from work . Good group to run with. Once you are signed off you are solo but no ride alongs but, it can be arranged for an instructor to take someone out. Midohio is such a great track , hope the weather cooperates.

As far as harness rules , check the PCA site . Make sure to read the supplement with regards to harness rules .

Harness rules seem to be the same as most other clubs. What ever the driver has the passenger must have, nothing around the seat, etc. I'm running stock seats and belts so no problem for me.

I think the limit on entries is 80 cars, but their website doesn't say that (http://www.arpca.com/)

I'm praying for a good instructor. I had one once that thought disparaging me was the best method of instruction. I've never been to Mid-Ohio so hopefully I can run solo on day two.

I'll be there.Generally the Instructor will sign you off end of day 1. Depends on your skill level. They run 4 run groups [a,b,c,d] Getting my car ready.A couple of other corvette Guys will be there also. I'm running 04 zo6. It does pretty well. What are you folks driving ?
