Default Tires

I'm autocrossing a C4 with Z52 package. I'm running Sumitumo's with a 160 compound rating....any better street tire without going to racing tires?

I would also agree on the Azenis, outstanding for a street tire.

Which Sumitomo??

The Azenis RT-615 is supposed to be a good tire but Kumho is coming out with a new tire called the Escta XS with a a 180 tread wear rating that is supposed to be even better. Linky

I have used my Kumho Ecsta MX tires for autocross (275/40-17's on 17x9.5 wheels) and they worked well. But with the MX, once the tread gets down to around 40% remaining, the compounds in the tread that make them a nice sticky street tire is pretty much gone. I ran them for a track day last month and they were pretty greasy with the tread depth now down to 3/32".
