Max Mosley the video king is pushing for the technology to appear in F-1.

They're going to need it.
They're also adding more area to the front wings but decreasing the rear wing.
Can you say oversteer?
Also the bodies will be simplified, might be nicer looking cars.

Spa is the best track in the world IMHO. Featuring a double apex downhill corner at 150mph and 4.5Gs. Just flat out Eau Rouge would be so fun.
The electronically controlled air foils would be cool too.

I don't know why but Spa qualifying looked great this year. Some real big elevation changes then Monza next week two fast tracks. They show they had 4.5 g's sustained for 5 seconds today.

They are going to hybrid technology as well next season. Apparently, the manufacturers involved with F1 want to develop this technology for their road cars, so F1 is going to introduce it to the series.

This is one of the things that I love about racing and why I dislike NASCAR so much. What is NASCAR contributing to furthering the technology of our road cars? I think that the manufacturers that choose to stick with NASCAR and don't compete in series like the LM series or F1 are operating at a disadvantage in the marketplace. That's fine if they want to do it, but don't come whine to me if no one is buying your cars.

I am disappointed to see that the FIA has neutered it a bit though for F1. I loved it when the drivers had to respect Eau Rouge and had to have some major attachments to run it flat out. Now the drivers say that it's still fun, but it's not nearly the challenge that it used to be. They say that they can run it flat out no problem now. That's sad if you ask me.
This is also the reason why I changed my mind about wanting to see F1 at Road America. I believe that they'd ruin the track if they ever agreed to have a race there. They are still trying to ruin Monza like they ruined Nurburgring and Hockenheim. At least they still have the Nordschleife at the ring and separated the F1 track from it.

They have improved the carburetor technology by their continuous improvement...

most sprint cars Ive seen with the movable wing ability makes it able for the driver to reach a lever to increase/decrease the angle of the wing himself while on the track and moving.
As for F1, I really have no opinions on where the sport should go aside from pushing the technology of auto motives further so as to help auto motives as a whole.

Excuse me but I believe that Mercedes introduced the "movable aerodynamic device" at the 1955 Le Mans race. Please Google up the Pierre LeVeigh accident at the 1955 race and look at the pictures of the 300SLR air brakes in action.

As far as manufacturers in NASCAR, they are not there for the technology it is all about marketing. However, it is very impressive how much power they can wring out of a small block push rod motor!

the ones that the super modifieds one are built on struts and the wing pivots. When they are hard on the gas the wing levels out reducing the drag and when they go into the turns and hit the brakes, the front of the wing points down planting the car to the track.
In this pic, the 61 is running a fixed wing, but that is what the wing would look like on the 11 in the straights
