I'm going to Putnam Park this weekend and didn't try to book a room until today. Seems everything is filled up???WTF? If anybody booked a room and is not going to use it let me know.

DePauw University may have some activity going on the same weekend, that would take up all local hotel rooms.

Putnam is only 40 miles from Indianapolis, I'm sure you could find something there as a last resort (near the airport)

I'm not worried, I'm leaving early Friday and will get up there early.

Same thing happened to me couple of weeks ago when I called them directly. But when I went online there were still rooms available.

Right now the wife and I are in Baltimore, Md loading some stuff going to Florida for hurricane relief supplies. Going to be there tomorrow.
Going to home Thursday to pack-up and Friday I get to some more.

I tried to get that room but they said they were still trying to get the Jello out of the Jacuzzi jets,the panties out of the sink drain, the stains out of the carpet, the lipstick off the sheets, and they had to send out the headboard to be refinished, something about rope marks....???

Thanks for the great track time, Bill. Another fantastic Putnam event. Too bad the second day got a little iffy with the wx. However, the first day was perfect. I enjoy running with the regulars that you are booking. Nice folks and they know how to drive!

Back on the subject of rooms in Greencastle/Cloverdale, DO NOT ever stay at a campus hotel for homecoming weekend. After being awakened the last time by a slamming door and loud TV at 1:49 AM, I learned the joys of trying to sleep with my head between two pillows. Holiday Inn Exp's doors are a little loud too. I prefer the Super 8 when it is available.
