Default Corbeau FX1 Seat - Mounting ??

I am putting in a Corbeau FX1 seat in my C6Z and have a question.

The shop tells me that I can do a side mount which will save me 3/4" in head room, but not with a slider. If I want a slider they say it has to be bottom mounted.

I've seen some of the Sparco seats side-mounted with sliders, so does anyone know if the shop is right or can i do a side mounted slider for the Corbeau?

Thanks.

You can't do a side mount with the Corbeau sliders, but I don't see why the Sparco side mount/slider system couldn't be used on the Corbeau seat. Incidently, have you sat in an FX1 and how big a guy are you? I have one FX1 and one FX1 Pro in my car because I changed out the FX1 on the driver's side for a Pro because it fit better.

The shop didn't have an FX1 so i tried out a Monza which was about 1/2" larger in the seat than the Pro. I'm a 35-36" waist (depending on time of the year!) and the Monza was a little tight.

Are you thinking of selling your FX1?

I already sold the FX1 I took out. Glad to hear you got to set in something to figure out what you needed. Sure is a lot easier than the route I went.

I am in the process of figuring this out as well. I got the Corbeau mounting bracket with the corbeau sliders and the seat was way too high. Plus, I didnt feel comfortable with those sliders. They just didnt work right. I know the right thing to do is to go buy the DRM kit, but I just changed my clutch so funds are a little dry right now.
