An 18" Kirkey deluxe road race seat will not fit. The wings hit the glass and it is tight between the door sill and the console. I sent it back and put in a 17" seat and went on a diet!

How did you attach the 17" Kirkey? What brackets did you use?
How do you like it?

Thanks. I was looking at the drawing I downloaded from their web site and making measurments just before I got on. It seems the 25.5" shoulder spread is too much to fit in a vette (exactly as you experienced) but the bottom SHOULD fit using the Hardbar mount - it is a shame. So I am looking at the ultrashield Deluxe Road Race. Getting information from them is like pulling hen's teeth. They could not provide me with any drawings stating "our seats are custom built". But I got it out of them that their 18" seat is only 22.5" wide at the shoulders. Also they will make the width of top of the seat (at the thighs) as wide or narrow as I need - that is great. The only problem, I have to drill the mounting holes.
Stand by. I will try to lose weight by next April and see if my hip bone width will narrow
